Graduate School of Arts & Sciences
While the School of Arts & Sciences is primarily a home for undergraduates studying the liberal arts, there are a select number of departments within the school that also grant masters’ degrees. The programs are intimate and serve a diverse constituency. Typically, students who apply to a graduate program through the School of Arts & Sciences are seeking one of three things:
- A base of knowledge to help them transition to a doctoral program in a field they may not previously have studied at the undergraduate level
- A personal intellectual experience with no plans to pursue a more advanced degree
- A capstone to their formal studies, often for professional reasons
Students can earn a Master of Science in biology, a Master of Arts in English, history or psychology, or a Master of Liberal Arts.
Financial aid for graduate level work is available through the University of Richmond’s Office of Financial Aid. Tuition varies based on your residency and other factors; you should inquire with the Controller’s Office for a current tuition and fee schedule.
