Last year five students won prizes for creating videos that summarized their research.

Planning to participate in the School of Arts & Sciences’ 24th Annual Student Research Symposium on April 17?

Submit a five-minute video about your research by April 10 and you could win $500, $250, or $100.

The rules are simple. Make a video that’s creative, compelling and tells the viewer what your research is all about. Upload it to YouTube and send the link to as@richmond.edu by April 10. Don’t forget to make sure friends watch it because YouTube views count. Keep your video clean, use copyright-free music and make sure you represent your own work.

To enter the contest, you must have registered to present your research at the Student Research Symposium. Learn more about signing up for the Symposium.

Winners will be announced at the Student Symposium.

Remember:

  • Keep it clean.
  • Be an A&S student who is participating in the Student Symposium.
  • Represent your own work and use copyright-free music.
  • Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance and the number of views your video receives on YouTube.
  • The School of Arts & Sciences will feature winning videos and runners-up online.
