Assistant Professor of English
The Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track position in postcolonial/Anglophone literatures at the assistant professor level, to begin in the fall 2010.
The appointee will be expected to maintain excellence both in teaching and in research. Teaching load is 3/2, with courses ranging from small first-year seminars to advanced electives. The successful candidate will have proven teaching ability and will demonstrate significant scholarly accomplishment and commitment to future research. A Ph.D. in hand by August 1, 2010 is required.

Applicants will be asked to supply electronically a letter of application, curriculum vitae, statement on teaching philosophy and experience, statement describing the applicant's research agenda for the next six years, and writing sample of up to 25 pages.
